Adonal Foyle: I Know How to Play Offense

When the Magic signed Adonal Foyle, nobody got excited about his scoring ability. Even Otis Smith, possibly the world's biggest Adonal fan, recognized that signing Foyle was a purely defensive move:

"Adonal (Foyle) is a solid shot blocker and post defender," said Smith. "His presence helps fortify our frontcourt, while bringing us veteran leadership."

Well, according to a Foyle-centric piece in this morning's Orlando Sentinel, Adonal is confident in his scoring abilities:

"I think people will be surprised with my offense, which is a good thing. Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean I don't have it," he said. "It's been percolating beneath the surface all these years. It's like a doctor who has to go to school for quite awhile before he can practice medicine."

I love you, Adonal, but you aren't fooling anybody, especially not with jump-shots like this.

That said, Adonal Foyle is more valuable to this team now than anyone could have imagined when he first signed. With Tony Battie likely out for the year, Adonal figures to see plenty of playing time. Let's hope he makes the most of it.

Yes!

"I think people will be surprised with my offense, which is a good thing. Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean I don't have it," he said. "It's been percolating beneath the surface all these years. It's like a doctor who has to go to school for quite awhile before he can practice medicine."

-Adonal Foyle

I'm not really a Magic fan, but I am a long time Golden State Warrior and Adonal Foyle fan. He has been my favourite player since 1998, and I ownz your GM at the fanness.

I really would like to thank the entire Magic organization for welcoming him with open arms and helping him to realize his true potential- Double Double (blocks) every night? I think so. DOMINATION!
