Can someone tell me why the Magic would still face the Pistons if the Celtics lose the series versus the Hawks?

So what decides our opponent?
If the Hawks pull out the upset over Boston, that would mean:
2 Detroit
3 Magic
4 Cleveland
8 Atlanta
That would be such a free pass for Cleveland

Cavaliers are used to it. They got injury-depleted Washington, apathetic New Jersey, and complacent Detroit last year on their road to the Finals.
