Maurice Evans Signs with Golden State Warriors
We all figured that Maurice Evans wouldn't return to the Magic next season; Keith Bogans' picking up his player option determined that much. Well, now we know where he's headed: the Bay Area.
The Warriors signed Evans to a three-year, $6.4 million deal, reports the Mercury News (ht: ClipperBlog). He'll work out well in Golden State, which prizes three-point shooting and athleticism. Evans provides both those things (80 triples and 73 dunks last season), and does so at a reasonable price. Congratulations to Maurice. Thanks for your hard work. See you in the fall.

I remember when Rick Adelman took a shot at 2 relatively unknown guys
One of them was Matt Barnes. The other was Maurice Evans. Glad to see Mo still in the league working his butt off. I’m not sad he’s left the Kings, but I’m happy for him that he may have a 8-10 year career. There are alot of “stud” draft picks that can’t do that.

Damn, I would prefer Bogans to Evans but there was no point in keeping both. I really thought he would get more money then that though. He was the starting 2 gaurd for a 50 win team, isn’t that worth a raise?

Last I heard
Evans backed out of the deal. Or that was the word that I’m seeing on GSOM right now.

Apparently they matched the Clips' offer to Azubuike
Which means they won’t sign Evans.

Yup
I’ve heard since then Evans is considering signing with Atlanta now that Childress signed in Greece.

Clippers could use him as well
Not a bad backup swingman, especially for only $2-3 million a year.
I could see him in Atlanta. He likes it there, if his career-high 27 point outing last April is any indication.
